January 31, 2013

We visited the Sachsenhausen Memorial and Museum on Thursday with President & Sister Kosack and the office staff.  The Williams wanted to visit there before they left Germany.  It was a sober way to begin our stay in Germany.  This camp was used during World War I (1933-1933), again in 1936-1945 as a concentration camp and in 1945-1950 as a Soviet Special Camp.  It was a cold, dreary, windy day which made the mood appropriately somber.
